What I'm Reading Wednesday

The Bible Explorer's Guide is full of colorful pictures and easy to read text for kids.  It's a great resource to use while reading the Bible with your kids. There are lots of pictures of artifacts, people and places to go along with all the facts that the book provides.  The book is geared for kids 8 and up and would be a great book for a homeschool family, a gift or used in a Sunday school class.

Braving It by James Campbell is about a father who invites his 15 year old daughter, Aidan, to join him for the summer roughing it through the Alaska countryside.  Not only did she embrace the rugged outdoors of Alaska during the summer, she went back during the winter to help out with hunting and trapping.  Ultimately, they made 3 trips back to Alaska before she leaves home, the last being a backpacking trip.  Their time in Alaska was not easy and it tested them, but in the end their relationship grew in so many ways.

Kids love to ask questions!  In the book, Do Baby Bears Have Mommies? by Crystal Bowman and Teri McKinley, they pose different questions about animals and then answer them.  The illustrations are almost childlike and the rhyming words flow from page to page.  The book is gear for younger kids, preschool to about 2 grade.  It's a cute book!

I received these books free from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
