What I'm Reading Wednesday

I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoy Lysa TerKeurst's writing!  The last book I read of her's was The Best Yes and thought it was so relevant to my life, so couldn't wait to get my hands on Uninvited.  Unfortunately, we live in a world full of hurt, rejection, feeling left out, lonely and less than.  Lysa takes us through her own journey of rejection with her father and others.  She addresses lies that we believe about ourselves rather than believing that we are handpicked by God.  Ultimately, a lot of our feelings come from fear...fear of being hurt and rejected, rather than finding a place of belonging.  God is the place where we can feel loved and we will never experience rejection or the feeling of being unwanted.

This book is one that every woman should read because we all have experienced rejection or hurt throughout life.  I appreciate Lysa's honesty and vulnerability, because ultimately we have an enemy attacking us and this book encourages and reminds us of how we can fight against him and be who God created us to be.

I received this book free from Booklookblogger in exchange for my honest opinion.
