What I'm Reading Wednesday

For as long as I can remember I've been intrigued by the world.  At a young age, I can remember my dad pulling out a map and the two of us intensely looking it over and dreaming about where we want to go.  My home is filled with maps and globes and I desire to travel the world, but not only that, I desire for my family to have a global perspective.

I was thrilled to be able to review the book, Give Your Child the World by Jamie C. Martin.  This book is an amazing resource that is filled with suggested readings to expose our children to different parts of the world.   The book is divided into different regions, countries and age ranges, and within each of these, it references other books as resources to learn more about the topic.  There are over 600 different book recommendations referenced by this book.

There are days I would love to jump on a plane with my family and go to different parts of the world to experience various cultures and try different foods.  However, that isn't always possible, but we can use books to journey to different cultures.  I highly recommend this book to any parent or homeschooler; it's a valuable resource!

I received this book free from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion.
