What I'm Reading Wednesday

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book, Hope Heals by Katherine and Jay Wolf.  I heard Katherine speak at the IF:Gathering and her story is amazing.  In 2008, she suffered from a massive brain stem stroke with little chance of survival.  Beating the odds, she spent months in rehab and what brought the most healing was hope that she and her husband found.  This book's message is that even in our broken and suffering world, Christ can bring restoration and healing which leads to hope.  We all go through things in life that are hard, difficult and full of suffering.  I would encourage everyone to read this book, because we all could use a little encouragement from a couple that has overcome huge losses and have found hope.

I received this book free from booklookblogger in exchange for my honest opinion.

I'm so glad Spring is finally here! I've been reading the book, The Bee-Friendly Garden by Kate Frey and Gretchen LeBuhn searching for different kinds of plants to put in my garden that will attract bees.  I want to be strategic with what I plant in my garden this year, since I had to get rid of my beehives.  I still want to attract bees into my garden, I just can't afford to work in my hives anymore since bee stings and my body don't agree with one another.  This book explains the importance of bees, what plants to put in your garden that attract bees, and ideas to design your own garden.
