Drawing through the Bible

This year, we started something new...drawing through the Bible!   I'm going to be completely honest and say that devotions always seemed like one more thing for me to do during our busy homeschool day.  It was something I always wanted to do, but never really figured out where to put it throughout our day.  We've tried it in the morning, around lunch time, but we weren't very consistent, sad to say.

This year, has been better!  Each week, we have focused on a different story from the Bible.   First, we read the story during our morning meeting which you can read about here.  We usually read it from a few different Bibles or devotionals we have.  Sometime during the week, we then draw about the story.   We've used paint, watercolors, crayons, colored pencils, etc.

The Flood: Noah & the Ark
Moses & the Burning Bush
 The Plagues

Baby Moses
Moses & the Red Sea

One of the things I've learned as a parent or a homeschool momma, is to do it with them!  There is something relaxing about coloring and painting.  Plus, they get excited about me doing the artwork with them!
