Tybee Island, GA

I’ve saved the best part of our trip for last!  I’m still thinking about our time in Tybee Island.  Everything about it was breathtaking!  We desperately needed down time and time to rest as a family.  We spent 5 nights, 6 days at this quaint cottage called Cottage on the Green.  I could literally move into this place.  It was an old men’s quarters during the Spanish-American War and now it's the cutest cottage.

All we did was walk a few minutes to the beach and then would come back to eat, read and take naps.  That’s it.  It was blissful!Georgia Trip-346_FD

Isn’t it dreamy???  Now you know why I keep thinking about this little cottage!  The beach wasn’t bad either!  Lots of reading on the beach for my man and I and the kids played in the water.

One day, we went and toured the Tybee Lighthouse. It’s the oldest and tallest lighthouse in Georgia.

I have this tradition to take our family pictures every year on our vacation. Lets just say my tripod should have it’s own passport. It goes everywhere with us!  My family may laugh at me but I love capturing our family pictures at the different places we have visited.  Now, all I have to do is decide which one should be for our Christmas card???Georgia Trip-304_FD

Tybee Island, you are lovely.  One day, I hope to come back and stay at the same lovely cottage.  Until then, I will cherish each and every memory!
